I’m Amanda Stockton, founder of Cloud Peak Business Services. I’m a mom of three, a numbers person at heart, and someone who genuinely enjoys helping people make sense of their finances.

I grew up in a small ranch town in California and have called Buffalo home for the past 15 years. I understand the value of hard work, personal relationships, and doing what you say you’re going to do and those values are a big part of how I run my business today.

My career in accounting actually started on the administrative side at a local accounting firm, where I worked as the Office and Marketing Manager. It didn’t take long for me to realize I was much more interested in what was happening with the numbers.

After completing a tax course, I began preparing tax returns and continued building my experience in bookkeeping and accounting. I eventually managed the firm’s bookkeeping department, overseeing the books for more than 26 businesses.

That experience gave me a firsthand look at how much business owners have on their plates and how valuable it is to have someone dependable handling the financial side of things.

I’m a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor for QuickBooks Online and have completed the IRS Annual Filing Season Program. I also continue to invest in education and professional development so I can stay current on changes in accounting, tax laws, and the tools available to my clients.

I’m currently working toward my Bachelor’s degree in Business with a focus on Accounting and Finance through Capella University.

For me, continuing my education isn’t just about adding credentials. It’s about becoming better at what I do and being a stronger resource for the people and businesses who trust me with their finances.

I started Cloud Peak Business Services because I wanted to provide the kind of service I believe small business owners deserve: accurate, dependable, personal, and straightforward.

You shouldn’t feel like just another account number or have to wonder who to call when you have a question. I take the time to get to know my clients, understand their businesses, and provide support that fits what they actually need.
